I bought a 1962 Austin Mini Cooper about a year ago. I love it. It was hit pretty hard at one time in the front end. Whoever owned it before me must have held stock in the Bondo Corporation!!!!Well, i decided to to a full restoration. I'll give updates on my mini in progress. Right now I have it completely stripped down, as you can see from the photo's below.  I'll update this page as I get more stuff done.

Some Pics of my Mini....
not much to see....YET!!!

This is what it looked like when I got it home.
Well, here it is all stripped down.
 Another stripped down View.
The new body panels line up nicely.

I decided to replace the inner and outer hinge panel on the passenger side. I also decided that since I did not have a welder or know how to weld, I shouldn't try. So I took her to a local body shop that has worked on Mini's before. It was kind of a pain because they wanted it on a rolling chassis. This meant putting the front and rear subframes back together( I have already started disassemblying them for powder coating) and reinstalling them along with the steering to the car.

I used a friends trailer to get the car to the body shop. His trailer was too narrow so we had to take the wheels off and slide the car on the trailer. I'll try and get the pic's up soon.
