I
haven't updated this page in a long long time...not since I lived in Oregon 4
years ago when I went on a five mile hike with some friends of mine. Then the very next
week I took a few more people down the same trail. We started at Wahkeena Falls,
went up a couple of miles, across the top of Multnomah Falls, and back down.
It was about 5 to 5.5 miles total. It is about average on difficulty, but way
above average on scenery. To get to the trail from Portland, take I-84 east
to the Bridal Vail exit. Continue east for a couple of miles and park at the
Wahkeena Piknic Area. Then follow the yellow path on the pic below.
During
both trips I took several photo's of the scenery. Here are a few..

The view of the Columbia
River as we walked up the switch backs. |

Fairy Falls, along
with the non-fairy me, diane, and of course we can't forget Nanai. |

Well,
that's all I have so far. This trail is a blast. Highly recommended. I'm sure
I'll go on many more trails in the next few months( This is Oregon....if I want
to stay dry, I have to go in the next few months!!) Later..
